Cardamom

Ceylon Cardamom is a highly aromatic spice obtained from the seed pods of the cardamom plant (Elettaria cardamomum), a member of the ginger family. Known for its distinctive sweet, slightly pungent flavour and refreshing fragrance, cardamom has long been treasured as one of the world’s most aromatic spices.

Cultivated in Sri Lanka’s warm, humid tropical regions, cardamom thrives in shaded environments with favourable rainfall and fertile soil. Its aromatic seeds are widely used in savoury dishes, desserts, baked goods, spice blends, teas, and traditional beverages, adding a refined and memorable flavour.
