Mace

Ceylon Mace is an aromatic spice obtained from the delicate, lace-like covering, known as the aril, that surrounds the nutmeg seed (Myristica fragrans). When freshly harvested, this covering is bright red and gradually develops a golden-orange colour as it dries, producing the distinctive spice known as mace.

Renowned for its warm, sweet, and subtly spicy flavour, Ceylon Mace brings a refined aromatic character to both traditional and modern cuisine. It is widely used in savoury dishes, baked goods, desserts, beverages, and spice blends, offering a delicate yet distinctive flavour that complements a variety of ingredients.
